Uh, Hyatt transfers to VS at 4:3 (e.g. 100k Hyatt=75k VS), which is why that was my preferred transfer option (it comes to about $0.02/point in "cost"). Almost all the other airlines are at 2:1 (though there are a few others in between the two).

The other motive, to be clear, is that I'm presently showing UC HKG-LON-NYC going for 100k points plus...basically airport fees and UK APD (HKG restricts add-on fees, apparently...I just about fell out of my seat when I saw basically a $22 fee HKG-LON, and the HKG-LON-NYC). That's a $13,000 ticket from what I can tell. I don't know what a night at a Cat 5 would usually go for, but I'm guessing it's a bit less than $1000. Normally I wouldn't be jumping at that, but everything sort of hit a "sweet spot" and HGK-LON-NYC is actually a useful segment for me with a trip I have coming up.
