Backtracking isnt the issue. Actually would be great in that you'll have more time on JL. But definitely see if you can move from a redeye.

I've done the SFO-ORD redeye (along with LAX-DFW, SEA-DFW, PHX-DFW). They suck. Horrible. Painful. Torcherous. Stay away from them at all costs.
