Breakfast in the CCR is the meal I have the most often.
1. The sausages are very good. The bacon is also very good.
2. We have never ever been asked whether we wanted black pudding it has always been included.
3. All items being warm has been an issue in the past. Recently it seems to have improved although none of the items are piping hot.
4. The eggs benedict is good order two if you are hungry, the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs is ok but is let down by the scrambled eggs. The boiled eggs with soldiers are mediocre - reason for both being the eggs are not great quality eggs. The butter in the CCR is not that good.
5. Coffee is mediocre.
6. The toast is often too dry.
7. Service recently has improved a lot - once CCR staff recognise you as a regular you get appreciably better service all round.

and to answer the original question - yes it is better than a Premier Inn breakfast ..... but not light years better.
