But what will Hertz (or the company that supplies the Plate Pass service to Hertz) charge the renter: the Plate Pass rate that they paid, or the full cash rate? Many rental-car companies (or their E-toll providers) charge the renter the full cash toll: that's one of the ways (in addition to the daily fee) that they are able to turn a profit on the service.
