I beiieve it is title, not gender.
And yes, this leads to no end of problems for us booking online. I once ended up with a ticket for my wife for which aircanada.com insisted in using Mr. Even though her Aeroplan profile has her as Ms. I then phoned and they had to reissue.
Likewise I cannot book tickets for myself if logging in. Except entering myself as another passenger, no Aeroplan number. Then adding the aeroplan number in "manage my booking."
Mind you the issue may be related to my blocking all these spying sites that the thing tries accessing. Such as googleanalytics and the like.
