Presumably it's referring to the GE90-115B engines. It's being used on the 777-300ER (being flight-tested right now) and the 777-200LR (development has resumed after being halted for nearly 2 years). The -200LR will easily be able to do U.S-India non-stop (CO does an even-longer JFK-HKG with a standard -200ER). I think I think only BR has right now.

As for BOS, Logan has short runways that prevents (economical?) operation to Asia (such as NRT).
