If I went for the CSP now...and then in 3-4 months went for another Chase card (say, Ink+)...would that be a smart decision? Or if I was (going to try for) both, would it be better to do it at the same time?

I could hit the CSP minimum spend now, but not combined with another card. With this pending trip (and summer tuition bill) I could probably then swing the Ink+ minimum spend in a few months time.

Finally, if I were to add an AU to one of the above cards, that would count for my minimum spending, right? Stupid question...I'd assume you'd get 2 cards for that?

Thanks guys
If you are planning an around-the-world trip, I think you are making a mistake by putting all of your "miles" in the UR basket. To redeem on any oneworld airline, you would have to transfer your points to BA. BA Avios are great on short-haul, intra-European flights in or out of LON, but redemptions on many long-haul routes (including TATL on AA, AY, BA, and IB) will carry hefty surcharges. Redeeming AA miles instead will have no surcharges at all, unless you redeem on BA (high surcharges), or IB (low surcharges).

So if you think you can get the CSP card, that's great, but then try to get some AA miles -- via a Citi/AA card -- in your stash as well.
