I can understand the issue where "earned" Avios are concerned, but has BA ever actually confiscated Avios which they have sold for cash? It might be in the Ts & Cs but in that case, BA should re-name its "Purchase Avios" offer to "Purchase the right to use Avios (until we decide to take them back)".
