EZE-MAD (IB 6856) in early April shows in EF as a 342, which from this thread I understand to be the new A340 configuration. The EF seat maps shows only seats 1-4 in J. IB and BA's MMB both show me in 5A, which EF says doesn't exist. If I tell BA I want to change my seat, it brings me an IB page with a different PNR, and that shows me in 1A. Very strange. The IB MMB also says I can not select seats.

Is there a seat 5A?

Is seat 1A or 5A good for a solo traveler?
