Nobody's retiring the 777-223ER at AA. They are refurbishing them - 10 of 47 done to date, very slow because of contract termination with Zodiac seat mfr. for non-performance - and eliminating First, leaving a new Business with all aisle access, horizontally flat bed mini-suites. This certainly won't be done by July.
But you can change routings with no cost.

No. It's as described for the refurbished 787-8.
Many of us actually prefer the old 772 F,other than the antiquated IFE; it's very spacious, the seat swivels, it has a work surface, etc.
