My advice - don't play the CC game. It's a liability and you have too much going for yourself. 10K and some fun exploration will do you well. Just my opinion. I may get flamed, but with excellent credit buying a house was a nightmare. I am personally opposed to cards "just" to have a card. I have 2 CC total to my name. One Visa and one AmEx for travel/work. I have zero plans to ever have more. Just my vote!

What's the real deal on how (how much?) opening and closing credit cards hurts your credit score? From my research over the last week here, seems to be some conflicting information in various threads.
