Paying intercompany invoices with credit card

Hi

I've never really analysed FF programs before and I'm hoping for a little guidance. I've Googled this to death tonight but can't seem to find the answer.

I fly about 100,000 miles a year with Philippine Airlines and am a Premier Elite level member of Mabuhay Miles. I'm open to using Singapore Airlines or Cathay Pacific too because business class is so bad on PAL. That's another story though.

I fly from Manila to Melbourne a bunch of times a year, and Manila to London 4-5 times a year.

I own multiple companies. One in the Philippines, and several in Australia.

My Philippines company issues an invoice to the Aussie company each month for between AU$100,000 and AU$200,000 and I then do a bank transfer from the Aussie company to the Filipino company.

My questions are:

1. Can I set up a merchant facility in Australia, pay this invoice with a credit card and earn the miles from the credit card company? I'm assuming I can prepay a credit card with the required funds to transfer.

2. If this can be done, is there anything I should watch out for?

Thanks for your help.

Mark
