Let me follow up a bit here. Now originally I was staying at this property one night as I had a quick meeting day of arrival followed by personal time, and leaving.. Now due to having a lack clothes for most the day I needed to extend my stay. Upon the FD confirming my rate for another night I asked for a manager..
Finally I was able to speak with someone a FD manager. He of course was apologetic.. We had a diplomatic conversation, and he offered me 20,000 points.. Of course he told me to get in contact about any expenses I may have incurred (for insurance) Which works for me. I learned that my room flooded so bad that the room below it flooded too, I'm happy to share that that room wasn't occupied.. I would feel bad for the staff if the wrong person/family was occupying that room. Now there was no talk of comping the stay. He did offer me a ride to the airport (Which useful or not what is a nice gesture)
So I'll be in the States soon, I'll replace what needs to be replaced, and maybe get a quick health check up just to be safe.. I'll probably reach out to the GM and request the stay be comped as well as a few more points. Then be done with it. I appreciate the FD manager making an effort, and I'm assuming that he doesn't have the power as the GM, so I'm not going to put him in an uncomfortable position.

At over 300 nights a year in hotels, I have to say this made hotel life a little interesting...
Finally as for all the "stuff" blame my ex.. I used to be a very simple guy! Date a girl from Baden Baden for a few years, and things change.... The trade off is living off free lounge food.. hahah
