There's always a risk of having to move when you book multiple reservations, but every property I know of will do their best to keep you in the same room if possible.
Sorry, I meant to say "when you check in."

OTOH, OP should remind them again at check out if it's important--for example, for promo points--to have the bill done as a single stay. [I had an issue on that this summer with Starwood.]
