I am not one for small talk with strangers (my introverted nature) and put the headphones on to minimize risk of being talked to during the flight!
This exactly. Hate chatting with seatmates. There has only been one time that I've talked to my seat mate more than just a 'hello' and he is a member here, as it turns out (didn't know that until the end) and a FA for the airline we were flying on (not a non-rev, a personal trip). Greatest guy ever and we talked the entire flight. He still teases me about it - the girl who wouldn't stop talking to him. But the time - 5 1/2 hours - just flew by (pardon the pun) and we still keep in touch.
