We're flying from DFW-SIN and are currently booked DFW-LAX (AA First) LAX-NRT (JAL First) NRT-SIN (JAL Business) The flight leaves early morning from Dallas and arrives in SIN the next night at around midnight. We have a paid onward ticket to DPS that wouldn't leave until around 6:00am on the 2nd day arriving around 9:30am.

An award just opened up between DFW-AUH-SIN leaving DFW the night before but not requiring us to take any additional vacation time and arrive in DPS at around 2:30pm, almost a day ahead of schedule.

The issue is that we'd "have" to fly business class on both Etihad legs, the first being a 777 and the second being the new 787.

We'll have a six year old in tow, I'm thinking the timing of the Etihad flight and the fact that the DFW-LAX and NRT-SIN are not First makes it close to a push as far as comfort goes.

Anyone that's flown both have an opinion?
