I have not flown CE away from row 1 in the latest seats, but given that I care much more about width than pitch I am sure that CE in rows behind 1 are still much better than economy.
Other than a guaranteed free middle seat (which is often the case in ET), pitch and width is identical to every other row on the aeroplane, other than the exit row(s) which have slightly more.
