^agree. Look on Priceline Express Deals and take one of the downtown zones. There is no reason to be near an airport and once at a downtown hotel, you probably can walk to enough stuff to keep you busy. If you're downtown, the streetcars are generally more useful for going to other places - there are only two subway lines and they are normally used for longer trips. One fare is all that is required for any trip including transfers on transit, including subways, buses, and streetcars. The new ones on 510 Spadina from Bloor to Union are an interesting ride, covering the University, Chinatown, Harbourfront Hockey Hall of Fame, CN Tower, Aquarium, and Union Station.
