I haven't noticed any difference in agents. Right after the merger they were very bad...you could actually tell the CO vs. UA agents, with the latter being a little more helpful IMO. But since I dropped to Gold 2/1/15, I've actually received better service when I call. I think it has more to do with UA's stability, and a renewed effort in customer service, than my status.
If you're comparing service now to the pre-merger UA dedicated premier phone lines, I don't think that's fair. That structure doesn't exist now unless you're GS.
GS today is what 1K used to be.....now 1Ks are grouped together with the rest of all other statuses. That's why being 1K, Plat or Gold makes no difference any more....Group 1 it is......
