After 10+ years as 1K and 2MM, I have been lifetime platinum now for 3 years. While not flying as much, obviously, I did not have a single upgrade clear during 2015, including trying to use RPU's. I still stick with UA for most of my travels mainly because of E+ at time of booking and no charge for changing award travel. It may be my imagination but I sure sat next to many 1K's this past year in E+ as they had trouble clearing as well.
