CanJet Proposes New York Flights
Halifax, Nova Scotia-based low-fare carrier CanJet Airlines has applied to the for four slots at New York's LaGuardia Airport, with the intent to commence daily nonstop service between Toronto's Pearson Airport and Montréal Dorval Airport. If approved, New York would be CanJet's second U.S. business destination, after the airline announced service to Chicago Midway last week.
In an application to the U.S. Department of Transportation filed Monday, CanJet says it would like to introduce daily nonstop Boeing 737 service between New York and the two busy Canadian business centers. The Montreal flight would be a morning departure, leaving Trudeau at around 10:00 a.m. and returning from LaGuardia at 12:15 p.m. The Toronto flight would leave Pearson at around 12:30 p.m., returning from LaGuardia at 2:40 p.m.
Too bad there's nothing new out of YHZ.
