Was 1K for many years (1.7 million lifetime miles), but moved to a nonprofit and low traveling position two years ago. Gold means:
- Getting to 2 million miles for lifetime Platinum now seems a long way off and maybe not realistic
- Traveling with family of five now means paying for E+ for one person - ugh
- Really miss the "no fees" on canceling or changing an award ticket. Used to take advantage of that all the time
- Live in SEA so between the lower status and reduced service, I now look at quite a few different airlines when traveling
