Have been to Taipei and Kuala Lumpur. The National Palace Museum in Taipei is definitely a must-see, but I tend to go back to KL a lot. Really great balance of creature comforts and prices. The Eden Restaurant in the Golden Triangle is really great (Malay decor, first rate but at a third of western prices). Other suggestions for things to see are good; maybe the Menara as well if you want to take an elevator to the top of something (can't go all the way to the top of Petronas towers)
