Many people rave about Dubai - personally I find it quite dull. There is just about enough to keep you entertained for a day (assuming you like shopping)or if you want to vegetate on the beach. If not, skip it.

Other than that, I'm in agreement with everyone else (though I've never been to Jo'burg).
