I've stayed at the Westin Seattle, once on cash and points. The "cash" part seemed to earn SPG points. It was a central enough hotel, a short walk to downtown attractions. I remember the parking fee was high though, I think like $20 or something (don't bash me if it's wrong, I can't remember the exact amount, just that it seemed high). I ended up telling them I wasn't driving in and parked either on the street right in front/back of the hotel (free after a certain time) or at a public lot a block from the hotel.

One time though, when the hotel was "full", they put me (Gold) in a strange, small corner room that had a FOLD DOWN RICKETY SPRING BED!! I was really unhappy, I thought all rooms were suppose to have those great Heavenly Beds. When I called the front desk to complain and ask for a room switch, they apologized but said the hotel was full. I wondered if it was because I was using my free nights earned during the promotion "stay 5 nights get Friday free, stay another 5 nights get Saturday free". After more complaining, they gave me 1000 courtesy Starpoints. But still, you could feel & hear the springs creaking on that bed!! If you get a normal room, you won't have to worry about that.
