Every time I visited (Indian) friends in India, they wanted things not readily available there. I once put a stainless steel double sink and a 30" doll in a very large suitcase and packed around them. In my carryons, I had a set of china. The best thing about taking those huge suitcases was having all that room to bring back the neat things I bought, like rugs.
