You definitely get a more "Southern" experience at one of the myriad Waffle Houses for sure.
If I see any details on the renovation, I'll post them. I'm surprised at some of the TripAdvisor reviews, as I think it's easily the finest place to stay in HSV. DT Suites is probably #2.
