Why are Vancouver hotels so expensive? I was looking up Hyatt for Aug. 2015 because I am planning a trip, and I got a price of 480USD, and 180USD for Best Western, I remember searching for hotels at the same time in 2014, and I remember a getting a room at the Hyatt for only 220 USD. I mean the Hyatt is only a 4 star hotel, while Best Western is only a 3 star hotel.
