What do you mean by effective? Submitting a complaint on the website will usually get you a computer-assisted apology note, and often a pile of miles. If you have some matter you really need to press, I'd suggest calling corporate customer care in Atlanta. (I'm looking for the phone number... someone else who knows it offhand, please beat me to it)
