The Etihad website quotes 97,995 points plus AED640:
...
The corresponding AA award redemption is 40,000 points with unspecified fees (I know the dates are not identical, but it doesn't seem to change as long as there is availability):

Clicking on the Taxes and Carrier Imposed Fees links doesn't show any useful detail.
I can't proceed to the next screen because I don't have enough points in my account (I am intending to transfer from Membership Rewards once I can find out what the additional fees are and do a comparison).
AA has less than half the award point requirement. I'm wondering if the additional cash fees will nullify any point advantage.
Is there an online resource where I can find out what the fees are?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Welcome to FlyerTalk.
The Etihad information is pretty useless for am AA award fees and taxes.
When you have sufficient award miles (not "points", nor do I think MR points are transferable to AA) you'll be able to see fees and taxes.
