Renting a car from Hertz at Sydney airport for five days. How much are tolls around Sydney? Hertz want $16.50 a day for their toll pass (which covers all your tolls on a daily basis). But we'll just be driving out to stay at Balmoral Beach and then in and out of Sydney a few times (maybe not even every day). Would be really be running up $16.50 a day in tolls? Forget the car. Totally unnecessary if your staying at Balmoral Beach. If you don't have somewhere to garage the car make sure you can actually park on the street. A lot of popular parts of Sydney have resident parking schemes in operation and parking will be either time limited or
very expensive. For example, in my own area of Paddington most of the parking is two hour unless you are a resident. If your planning on driving in to the CBD expect to pay $10-$15/hour for parking. Also note that most of the street parking is loading zones, so in all likelihood you will not have a vehicle that can park on the street.
