The 343s are the planes you want to avoid as they are the old configurations. They were planned to be retired with the new 330s but current fuel prices mean they are going to keep going for longer with no plans to be refurbished.
Definitely avoid these 343s. Problem though is that they seem to be used on the non-daily rotations on the flight times I prefer for avoiding jetlag - i.e. departing EZE or SCL late at night to arrive early afternoon to MAD after a decent amount of sleep.
Yesterday the purser came over for a chat and asked "is everything still working with your seats?"
Always a struggle with my fear-of-flying missus to convince her that the wings or engines won't fall off when the seats look like they were installed in the 70s.
