I do remember this being an issue in the past that if you flew LHR-xyz twice in the same day you would only be credited once and had to write in to claim for the second flight. It may well still be difficult for the BAEC systems to cope with. I do wonder whether it is meant as a fix to prevent people being credited twice when there are irrops and they have to be rebooked on a later flight on the same route.
