I guess it's a layer the airlines build on top of Amadeus so if it's confirmed there I believe it should work. Again, can't comment for this case specifically but just wanted to share my experience as you mentioned confirming the seat and seeing it on CMT as well.
Yes, as I think you're saying I was trying to figure out what would happen for a passenger booked on the same aircraft via partner like QF, or via TA. Do all marketing agents aim to honour the operating airlines policy? Or is there a massive wrinkle whereby that would be too confusing for all and Amadeus simplicity kicks in as the seats get unblocked?
