QF allows TATL exit seat selection at T-72. Risky?

A further development of what I mentioned here...

I went to grab a bulkhead seat at T-72 on BA longhaul in Y. Because of complications of a corporate group booking with BA I've found I needed to use the Qantas MMB page.

As expected it was now showing the bulkhead seats, and I took one.

Additionally it was showing a couple of exit row seats, and allows them to be selected without requesting payment. That then promptly shows up in CMT.

Does anyone know what happens next? Will it stay in the system, generate some kind of charge to TA, get swept to the back of the plane by some daily BA process, etc?

EDIT: And it then shows up in BA MMB in the text bit, but on the seatmap graphic is confused about where to show me - so doesn't .
