You can view the upgrade list of any flight (even if not flying) on the app too. Just hit "Track a flight" under "More" and type in the flight number and hit the +. It will show both waitlists there.

There is no way to see your position on the waitlist prior to 24 hours. You might be able to call though?

Only AS employees have access (restricted on who AFAIK) and it's not something that is shared.
