He's in the Bangkok 'burbs and I'm in town for another week. Just doesn't seem to be that many places to shop for and buy actual computers and tablets here (the choice here for the locals is overwhelmingly for smart phones - to while away the time waiting for and in transit on public transportation and at work (especially if you are in retail).

Bangkok's scene has changed drastically. It is rare to find a Thai not glued to their smart phone.
