Let me tell you of my experience this morning in F on AS 76, SEA-JNU.

The lunch served was the Cuban sandwich, which I did not want. I confirmed with the FA that folks in F now had to pay for fruit and cheese plates, and that was after the main cabin had been given first dibs. So we left it at that.

To my surprise, later in the flight she presented me with a fruit and cheese plate, at no cost. I did not flat-out ask for one earlier, but she could tell I wanted it by virtue of that wistful look in my eye. Communication is 93% nonverbal.

In any event, it (a gratis F&CP from the back) can still happen.
