Despite the risk of coming off as an a**hole I must say that some of the "priority" lines have become too crowded in recent years. I for one bless the changes made to the silver elite status.
In fact when you compare FB to other EU programs it's relatively easy to qualify for status which produces a disproportionately large number of elites.

In the end AF-KL are in the business of making money, if too many people are entitled to use "priority" lines/services they will no longer be perceived as such, which may drive away some heavy FF or paying J customers.
