Gomac asked, but I was curious enough myself to forgo the pre-ordered beef and give this a try on a recent dark cold winter's night...
It was pretty hefty as a dish, and my view is that it's only suitable for winter on westbound runs. Having it before sleep on an eastbound evening wouldn't sit well... That said, it has six types of vegetables (not counting the potatoes) which hadn't even been mentioned on the menu card.
Is it truly a 'First' dish? Probably not.
Great thanks for the update Paul, it doesn't look too bad at all to me, I would definitely give it a go on a long flight, especially if I've had something different in the CCR before hand.
