When I booked mine, the agent commented that there wasn't a limit on segments after they got rid of the MPM figures. I was able to get 12 segments approved, but dropped to 10 after some fine tuning, so I can't verify the absolute accuracy.
I certainly hope 12 is doable. I'd love to change my AC-AC-NH-NH-SQ-SQ-TG-LX-LX-AC-AC J itinerary (which, granted, I haven't even booked yet...) to include a segment on TK between the TG-LX
