Passenger electronic interference on Australian flights is already well documented. Here are some of the the worst case scenarios:

February 8, 2003: On take-off from Sydney, pilots on a 737-300 found the flight management system map display kept changing, rendering it useless. A passenger was using an electronic device.</font>
