Only problem... it wasn't real. When I called in later for seat assignments, the agent (who seemed much more experienced this time) realized I didn't have a valid ticket and said DL coded KL operated flights aren't eligibl in anything below M, as expected. An hour on the phone later trying to unwind the mess, fortunately they rebooked me on DL metal instead.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone successfully booked and flew a DL coded KL operated flight in a discount bucket, upgraded in advance with a GUC...
