The resort fee is no longer being charged. This fee recently started being waived for Platinum members, but it has now been expanded to all guests.
Platinum members are now provided access to the Mailaini Tower lounge, whether you are booked into a Mailaini room or not.
To the comment about "buy up" options for the Platinum breakfast (at Surf Lanai), they are $15 each and include items like Belgian waffles. I will take a photo during our next breakfast and post it.
This means that Platinum guests now have at least two options for breakfast, both being similar. The Platinum breakfast amenity provides a broader window (9:30am vs. 11am). It is an excellent non-meat option, imo.
wow, you're right. this is great. now to decide if i want to stay here or the westin moana. even though the base rate is more at the RH, no resort fee makes it cheaper than the westin!
