beside that PUP every 50k miles and two times per year 50% award...and actually ROP Platinum desk has a very good service if there is any issue...
...add to that blocking the seat beside you if the flight is not completely full; and ease with which rewards redemptions can be made, plus guaranteed seat in economy within 48 hours of flying (which I have had occasion to use twice recently on the Jakarta route due to zero availability), dedicated customer service number (which service has improved dramatically in recent months) and Thai Immigration Fast Track even when flying Economy.

I travel more than 250,000 miles a year on Thai in J/P and add about another 800,000 miles a year with my Citibank Prestige Mastercard so I get amazing redemption value and at least five round trip upgrade vouchers a year, and I can switch nominees with zero cost, as many times a year as I wish, to bring family and friends to/from Thailand....so all told I think its a pretty good program.
