I always liked the Hotel Majestic, because it has highspeed Internet access (wireless, for a fee of about $ 15, I think). It also has a great bar. If you are lucky, you can get a special from their website.

However, the rooms are more modern in the Hotel Diplomatic.

Both hotels are located very close to the Paseo de Gracia and you can walk to the Ramblas from there.

Great location.

If you want to be right on the Ramblas and want to pay less, you could try the Hotel Montecarlo, but it is clearly a category below the Majestic and the Diplomatic (even though all rooms have (small) jacuzzi bathtubs).
