Hmmm....sounds like you got unlucky perhaps......I've always been fairly happy with the rooms here, I always got upgraded to at least river view, and mostly got big rooms overlooking the river, agree about the balconies though, I always request room 441 ( used to be 2427 before doubletree) huge room with two double beds and balcony looking over Canary Wharf.
Might have to try 441 next time !!!
Lounge was well supervised last night - plenty of guests visiting and bar busy most of the time I was around .
Internet wasn't great in the room - very slow (thought it was just the Hilton cranky website !)
One member of staff at breakfast at 6.30 - she did a sterling job until joined about 20 mins later - pity about hot food not being hot (how early do they prepare it before service ?) I agree about the lack of warm plates at Hilton breakfast - even when there is a sign notifying guests of the them - how ironic .
Good coffee has appeared also .
Lounge set up - had a chat with MOS and she offered to get me a Costa again !
Times delivered - guests checking in at 7am ish - heard still no cookies
Off to sample other Hiltons (for a change lol )
