interesting... I have a F BOS-DFW-HKG award on hold. So it appears I should add a HKG-XXX segment on CX, that way if CX opens up F on BOS-HKG, I can switch to that without a redeposit, and I can drop the extra segment without a fee anyway.
edit: well I would be changing an AA/CX award to a CX only award, is that allowed? (guess same question as previous poster - no clear answer in wiki)
