Forgive me as I have never received an upgrade as a Silver so far (7 months of flying 2 RT's/month out of DTW) and it is my first time having status at DL. I know I should not be shocked based on what is going on with all the changes and FCM.

2 quick questions:

1. I almost was upgraded yesterday (I missed it by one seat). I typically do not like to be anywhere near the boarding area until pretty much everyone is on board. If my upgrade clears, will it just update my seat in the flydelta app, or do I need to be present in the boarding area to listen for my name and receive a new boarding pass from the agent?

2. If i play the "you board you lose" game and try and see if I can snag that last seat that might show up, can the agent give away my currently selected good seat such as the exit row/comfort+ that I usually have selected, because I have not boarded yet?
