So I've just had a 4 night stay at the ibis hong kong central sheung wan. I received a room upgrade due to le club accor status and had a nice bowl of fruit left in my room the day before I checked out.

Is it normal to receive status benefits at a non-participating le club accor hotel.

Also found it odd that the hotel has le club accor marketing material splashed everywhere in the hotel, yet it's a non participating hotel, so no points or night stays credited for my stay.
